Rule 53. Falling on Puck
NOTE: Any player who drops to his knees to block a shot should not be penalized if the puck is shot under him or
becomes lodged in his clothing or equipment but any use of the hands to make the puck unplayable should be penalized
promptly.
NOTE: Refer to Rule 74(b) Ð Puck Must Be Kept In Motion for the Rule governing freezing of the puck by a
goalkeeper outside of his crease area.
